The USS Honolulu CL 48 is the last member of the original Brooklyn class. The kit is from Corsair Armada. It is an excellent kit and represent as out of the box build the USS Phoenix or USS Honolulu as they looked in the first month of the war.
My plan was to build a US cruiser as she looked before the war began in 1940. I have removed the splinter shields, the 1.1 inch and 20mm AA guns, added the second line of bulleyes, the second boat crane midship an all of the peacetime boats.
I have painted the kit in US standard navy grey from WEM. Also, I have used the Tom's Modelworks PE set for light cruiser as well as the GMM set .
