Hi Jeff, Well, I finally finished Juneau. I've attached eight pictures Len Roberto took for me. Please post them on you site, at your leisure. There's a brief description below. Man I tell, you, this was a very involved project. Between the research, and construction, it took the better part of 15 months to complete. I think it came out pretty good, for a first time ship model. I still need to work on a few things, but that will come after I do a few more. And yes, there will be at least one more. This one is for a customer, and I'll be needing one for myself. I think an Arliegh Burke is in my future!!! I have some bad news. I won't be able to make Mosquitocon this year. My cousin is being ordained in New York, and I have to go. It figures they would have it the same day. As I'm also an ordained minister, it just wouldn't be right if I didn't attend. We'll be having family in from other parts of the country, so it won't be that bad. But I still hate to miss the show. I've only missed one (Blizzardcon) but I have a valid excuse. I got called back to work. I really wanted to bring Juneau down for you to look at. But there'll be another time. Let me know what other shows you'll be doing in the near future, and I'll bring it. The guy I did it for said I can have it back for a few shows, if I wanted to. So I'll call him on that. At least once. :-)) Semper Fi Doug God Bless America Blue Water Navy kit of the USS Juneau in 350 Scale. Built mostly out of the box, with the following additions. Extra rails added in variuos places, and a few figures added. Painted with White Ensign emanel paints and Testors Acrylic overcoats added. Washed highlighted with artist oils. Rigging is .004 monofiliment for flag lines, and .005 stainlees steel for standing rigging. This is my first ship model. Building time approxamatly 15 months. Photos by Len Roberto.
