USS Juneau CL-52

1/700 USS Juneau CL-52 (DML)

This is the USS Juneau CL52 that I made agout three years ago using the Dragon 1:700 Oakland kit which has the parts for the round bridge of the early Atlanta class cruisers. The hull had to be reworked as one of the two pieces of the above waterline hull had to be reduced in width to give a nice smooth line of the ship's sides. The correct boat deck layout was achieved by combining the two options supplied with the kit. The quad 1.1 inch guns came from the Tamiya Hornet kit with PE sights added and the gun directors and depth charges are from the Tamiya Fletcher kit. TMM PE set 745 was put to good use and this was my first use of WEM's colourcoat paints.
