1/350 USS San Diego CL-53 (Blue Water Navy)

USS  San Diego CL-51, This was my first resin kit... prior to this I had only built regular plastic kits(i.e. Tamiya etc.)  I started with 1/350 scale Blue Water Navy Atlanta kit and modified to the San Diego.  The model depicts the San Diego, Oct 12-15 1944 providing AA cover for Task Force 38 where she is credited with shooting down 2 Japanese planes... Note spent shell casing on her decks as she steams at full speed. Because this was my first resin kit I decided to document the construction, see all the pictures from start to finish by going to
