1/350 USS Duluth CL-87 (Yankee Modelworks)
This is the Cleveland class light cruiser USS Duluth in a late war configuration, a Yankee Modelworks USS Miami conversion. Being I grew up near Duluth I really wanted to build this ship, and I always liked the look of the Cleveland cruisers. The only major modifications I did to the kit were to remove four 20mm tubs and replace them with twin 40mm placements. One of the masts was also changed, and I added some ladders and extra railing and crew members here and there. But overall the kit is nicely complete. I also had a 1/350 Higgins PT Boat lying around, so I thought it would look good as a size comparison.
