1/600 HMS Ajax (Airfix)
Every now and then I happen across an old stand-by, in this case an
Airfix Ajax kit on a consignment table, the box old and faded, but all
the parts there. I couldn't resist. It is hard to imagine the little six-inch-gun
Ajax tailing the battleship Graf Spee with 11-inch guns. But, Ajax was
a fast, nimble little cruiser. Lots of flashing to cut in this very old
kit, but it went together well. A heated pin helped with the port holes.
