1/700 HMS Trinidad 1942 (L'Arsenal)
Converted from a kit of HMS Jamaica my model of HMS Trinidad shows her as she was built by HM Dockyard Devonport commissioning in October 1941 in a rather natty 5 colour camo scheme and although seriously overweight she was still good for 33 knots, she spent most of her 8 month career escorting convoys to Russia and was armed with 12 x 6 inch MK XXIII which fired around 6 rounds per minute with a max range of 14.5 miles, 4 x 4inch firing 20 rounds per minute with a gun crew of 16 max AA range was 29,000 feet or 10 miles in surface mode, 2 x quad 2pdr pom-poms could fire up to 13,300 feet, 4 x quad .303MGs up to 500 feet and 2 x 20mm firing up to 10,000 feet, 6 x 21inch TTs and 8 depth charges, in May 1942 in action with enemy destroyers she was badly damaged by one of her own torpedoes that malfunctioned in the frozen Artic waters and she was lost to air attack a few days later.
