1/200 HMS Sheffield (Modelik)
This is the Modelik 1/200 scale HMS Sheffield. The model is typical egg crate style constructed kit. I reinforced all of the horizontal deck surfaces with balsa, 1/16” for the main deck and 1/32 for all of the others. The gun barrels are CNC Aluminum and brass turned. The rails are 1/200 laser cut paper and the masts are all styrene scratch construction.
The model fit was excellent and the colors are consistent.
This kit complements the other 1/200 models very well. I would highly recommend this model and this make to anyone interested in paper modeling. It matches well with GPM and FLY for quality.
I am finishing my FLY model Tone as I write this, and Tom’s standard IJN 1/200 scale brass railings and also have finished 75% of the tremendous FLY Model 1/200 Nagato. The last photo attached is an in process Nagato photo.
