1/350 HNLMS De Ruyter (Naval models)
HNLMS De Ruyter Dutch Cruiser from the 1953 ,produced by a Dutch model company ,called Naval models ,they do mostly Dutch warships in resin with photo etching ,give then a try if you want something different.I spotted the kit completed at the last model show in Telford (UK).I had to have one.The hull I had to waterline ,that took two hours of sawing ,recommend to do it outside and wear a mask.The rest of the resin parts took an afternoon to clean up.I replaced the all resin barrels with brass ones,which look a lot better.Served with the Dutch Navy until 1972 then sold to Peru and served with her Navy until 2017 and last gun cruiser to serve in the world and know will be a museum ship.
