This is my attempt at the Dutch light cruiser De Ruyter. Lost early in the Pacific war to a long lance torpedo, she was a graceful design I have always admired.
The hull and superstructure are wood and sheet plastic with photo etch rails and splinter guards. The fire control, cranes, and twin 40mm(from quads) are from my parts box. the 6" main battery is hand made. The floatplane is from a German ship kit with the biplane wing from Arizona. She is made from 2 photos, one showing her with anti torpedo armor, one without. I chose the latter. As usual, I am sorry about the lapses in accuracy.
