1/700 USS Enterprise CV-6 (Tamiya)
My build for Enterprise is slightly easier without waveline camo on the USS Hornet. However, the lines on the decks are quite difficult to spray. I tried masking the deck and spraying but the raised lines on decks allowed the spray to seek under the masking. After some salvaging efforts and some discussion with Mervyn, he recommended using line tape to outline the deck. It was not the perfect solution but it worked quite nicely. The depth of the line tape can be seen in macro photos.
The tri colour planes are a little challenging. I used modelling clay on the bottom and masking tape on top of the wings to create the tri colour scheme. Painting the canopy was another nightmare. My shakey hands can't seem to steady the brush too well. Lastly, the tiny decals went on the plane.
As with the Hornet, I did oil brushing and a little rusting to enhance the look of the ships
