1/1200 USS Hornet CV-8 (Revell Germany)
I put together this out of the box Revell Miniships Hornet as a quick painting experiment to test out the White Ensign Models Colourcoats paints (I plan to do a 1/350 Hornet eventually). As with many of the Revell 1/1200 line, Hornet is a repop of an old molding released variously over the years by Casadio, ESCI/ERTL, MPC, and probably others. This old girl from the 'sixties is very simplified, snap-together affair but has some cool features like a full hangar deck and open side doors. I also liked the deckload of tiny B-25s. A fun weekend project!
