1/700 USS Hornet CV-12 (Dragon)
My first attempt at an Essex Class Carrier was the Dragon CV12 Hornet. I particularly like the MS 33/3a camouflage which she wore from commission till the end of the war. I found the fit of the model very good, and really liked the folding wings on the planes in the kit. I also installed a couple of LED’s to highlight the hanger deck. In the aftermarket area, I found the Fine Molds products below outstanding and will not build another model without them. A very enjoyable and satisfying build.
