1/350 USS Franklin CV-13 (Trumpeter)
USS Franklin CV-13… I was given a Trumpeter Essex model as a present, didn’t want to build the Essex or the Yorktown which I heard Trumpeter was going to release. I want to do something different so I looked at the other ships of the class and decide to build it as the Franklin, about a week after I painted the 13 on the flight deck I heard that trumpeter was releasing the Franklin too… I had 10 ships to choose from and I pick one of the 3, trumpeter was going to release… the gods of ship modelers was against me that day…
The Franklin is going into my 1/350scale harbor diorama along with the
Iowa and the San Francisco… check out the harbor under construction at
