1/700 USS Bunker Hill CV-17 (Scratchbuilt)
For the first time, I have scratchbuilt a 1/700 scale model . It was a test in order to check this scale, examine the difficulties and get information about mistakes to avoid. I decided to build an aircraft carrier because I consider them to be the most difficult ships to make . And I choose an Essex class carrier because I have a lot of information about them.I also decided to use "Five Star Models" photoetch . But this PE is made for the Dragon model, which is not exactly in accordance with the plans I have, and they forgot to give instructions about assembling, which is regrettable because the quality is perfect . They sent me photos. But, in fact, I could not use all of the set.
My model is made, as all the others, of wood, paper and white glue. I made no efforts regarding the aircraft, because I am waiting new products, which will allow me to replace them with better ones.
