USS John F. Kennedy CV-67

Here are some images of the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67 (1/720) I just completed for a co-worker of mine. This co-worker served on the JFK for 2 years.  The kit is (kit-bashed and scratchbuilt) from 2 kits (Italeri Kitty Hawk class and Nimitz class carrier kits).  I essentially rebuilt the island structure and altered some of the breakwaters and sponsons.  Those who may have served on her may note some inaccuracies, however, as there is no current JFK kit in production, the Nimitz class flight deck best approximates the shape/structure of the JFK's.  Besides which, I had very limited pictures and images to work with and had to guess on some things.  There were some things that just could not be altered without damaging or ruining the integrity/appeal of the kit and outcome.  Overall, it came out pretty well and she was very pleased the final product.
