1/350 USS White Plains CVE-66 1944 (Blue Water Navy)

USS White Plains CVE-66 as she appeared in October 1944.  Ship is in MS-33/10a camouflage. Kit is the Blue Water Navy BN-35023 USS Gambier Bay 1/350 resin kit. Had an uncle who served on the White Plains in WW-II, this model is to honor him.  The White Plains is depicted in October 1944 in the Battle for Leyte Gulf.  The White Plains achieved fame as one of the carriers in Taffy 3 which fought the Combined Fleet off Samar.  She finished the war as she started it, a aircraft transport and training carrier.
