CVE-83 USS Sargent Bay

This is a 1/700th scale Tamiya Bougue Class CVE converted to a Casablanca Class, USS Sargent Bay CVE-83. The conversion isn't perfect. The gun galley deck is still Bougue, along with some hull details. I made the model for a friend that flew Wildcats from her in WW2. Since these photos were taken, I have added a crew, props, and several other details.

The "Sarge Barge" (as she was known to her crew) won a first place for 1/700th scale ships at the Tamiya Con 2000, and a first at the Reno I.P.M.S. show 2000.
