1/350 USS Independence CVL-22 (Dragon)
Built straight from the box except for a) additional PE railings; b) some scrap PE parts; c) Fujimi figures and d) an additional six SBD's.
Fit was near-perfect. Dragon needs to rethink its confusing instructions and overly tiny parts and overdone parts count. There is no reason to mold the aircraft in clear plastic if you are going to have separate canopies anyway. Clear plastic is hard to see, and shatters easily.
I'd also like to see Dragon market its 1/350 figures as an aftermarket product-- Dragon guys, you have the best figures out there. Why are you leaving money on the table by not selling them as a separate set, the way you do your aircraft?
