1/350 Tamiya with a WEM ultimate USS Enterprise Etched Brass Fret, and a plasticard hanger deck. I intend to scrap the Tamiya aircraft and replace them with the superior Trumpeter aircraft (I just do not have Kelly Quirk's ability !) when they appear.
Originally a 40th Birthday present the kit then spent 12 months waiting started, 3 years later with a few other ships completed in between she is finally finished. While I was happy with the result I will approach my next carrier (Nimitz or Yorktown) in a different way as building the airwing became monotonous, so my new aim is to have fewer but better detailed aircraft.
WEM Ultimate Enterprise PE 80% used, GMM Enterprise 20% (both highly recomended), plus some WEM USS Nimitz bits.... Fire extinguishers courtesy of L'Arsenal's Oxygen and Acetylene Bottles.
Scratch built hanger deck.
Transfers courtesy of GMMs supercarrier sets.
Crew GMM and I have left the flight deck clear of personal so I can re-position or upgrade the aircraft if I ever feel the need....
The aircraft are all 1/350 Trumpeter with WEM individual PE sets, F-14's have the ejector seats, the others lack interiors.
The transfers are mainly a combination of GMM's airwings for Enterprise, and while some of squadron numbers are correct others are not plus the lo viz aircraft have hi viz markings just to add a touch of colour.
Paints are a mixture of Humbrol enamels and Tamiya acrylics, just be sure each has dried before applying the other.
