USS Enterprise CVn-65

1/350 USS Enterprise CVN-65 (Tamiya)
After completing the Enterprise CV-6, I jumped in and started on the CVN-65. She's modeled as appearing in 2001 during Operation
Enduring Freedom. All detail was sanded from the deck and custom decals fabricated for the fine stripes while other details were
painted on. The catwalks were all removed and I rebuilt them using perforated brass. The Phalanx aft port and bridge deck platforms
were rebuild, LSO platform added and various radar blisters added where needed. All aircraft were replaced by Trumpeter ones.
The Hornets and Prowlers were kind of a pain being the canopies are not molded separately and they are cast in clear plastic.
These are the aftermarket sets I used:
- Tom's Modelworks Photo Etch USN Carrier (Photo Etchrforated) catwalks w/rails
- Trumpeter Aircraft C2 Greyhounds; E2-C Hawkeyes; EA6B Prowlers; F/A18 Hornets (3 boxes); F-14D Tomcats (3 boxes); S-3B Vikings and SH60F Oceanhawk Helicopters.
