1/700 USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 (Trumpeter/Italeri)
After building of the 1/350 CVN-65 I desire to build another aircraft carrier. Project is CVN-76 USS Ronald Reagan. Italeri has released this model but not the detailed one, my friend told me the Trumpeter USS Nimitz 2005 have enough parts, such as radar, Mast and weapons can conversion to CVN-76!
Then I started to check out is it work, I only used the Italeriˇ¦s CVN-76 the island, radar, vehicles and some of the parts replaced the Trumpeter parts.
The have to make some conversion to make it more look like the CVN-76 Hull!
The main problem is fit the mast to island, it have to sand and dry fit many times i used the Gold Medal photo etch Decal in box and Starfighter Decals to fill with the shipˇ¦s equipments, marking and railing. Lucky all of the parts can fit and look harmony!
