1/700 HMS Illustrious (Revell Germany)
The Light aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy 'HMS ILLUSTRIOUS' is the second nose of the class Invincible that other two twins were completing: the 'HMS Invincible' and the 'HMS Ark Royal'. Nowadays it is the flagship of the British Navy, after the pass to the reserve on August 4, 2005 of the "HMS Invincible".
The aircraft carrier can go on board fighter/bombers Harrier FA.2 and Harrier GR.7, as well as helicopters King ASaC and Merlin HM Mk.1
Numeral: R06. Displacement: 22.000 tons. Length: 209 mts. Beam: 36 mts. Draught: 7,5 mts. Speed: 28 knots (52 km/h). Complement: 685 sailors and officials. 366 members of the Air Group.
Armament: 3 pieces Phalanx/Goalkeeper (CIWS), 2 pieces of 20mm Close range guns.
Propulsion: 4 × Rolls-Royce Olympus TM3B gas turbines providing 97,000 hp (75 MW) and 8 Paxman Valenta diesel generators.
The kit length is 29,8cm. I used rails set of Toms’s Modelworks and decals.
