1/350 IJN Zuiho (ThreeD-Wild Miniatures)

Just finished the beautiful IJN Zuiho. It was a pleasure to build. Had some problems with the complexity of the photoetch esp the paravenes were tough to build. I use a hybrid of Fine mould 1/350 MG's refined with selected photoetch parts. I could not get the barrels of the photoetch aligned correctly so opted for plastic parts. Although the masts are beautifully printed I choose to replace them with photoetch, just to be sure on the long time, have no idea about the durability of printed resin but sensitive they possibly are

Used etch blackener, possible to enhance the adhesion of paint and Ca glue. If damaged a grey colour is revealed which is less detectable than glossy copper...
