1/700 IJN Shokaku (Tamiya)
Building this kit was a learning process, as I have little experience with carriers. The deck decals had endless bubbling and silvering problems, despite the application of massive amounts of Future and decal setting solution. In hindsight perhaps I should have just painted the deck lines. Scratchbuilt items include the island superstructure, rain gutters, sponson supports, and splinter shields. PE was mostly from Tom's Modelworks.
