This is Tamiya's 1/700 IJN Shokaku finished as her late 1942 fit with Tom's IJN Carrier set. This is a good kit but some details are simplified. I didn't have the stomach to go all the way fixing up everything but I did manage to add some details:

• removed molded-on sponson supports and replaced them with plastic rods
• added more forward flight deck supports
• scratch-built ready room for aft-starboard 12.7cm AA mounts
• several platforms/walkways.
