1/700 IJN Shokaku (Sea Way/Fujimi)
My 1/700 scale IJN Shokaku (Sea Way/Fujimi) with Gold Medal railings. I had the hardest time finding the flight deck paint scheme, as not many images of this Pearl Harbor strike force carrier still exist. The ocean was completed with acrylic gel with various shades of blue added in.
Ironically, the carrier was sunk by the USS Cavalla (SS-244) in 1944, and that submarine now a memorial about 25 miles from where I live. Here's their website ( http://www.cavalla.org/ ). I'm considering donating this carrier model to them.
