1/200 spanish carrier Dedalo (Scratchbuilt)
This model represent the aicraft carrier of the Spanish Navy DEDALO.The Dedalo was the former aircraft carrier of the United States Navy USS Cabot CVL28 of the Pacific War during World War II. In 1967, the aircraft carrier entered service with the Spanish Navy as a helicopter carrier. In 1976, the Dedalo embarked the AV8 A harrier. The dedalo remained in service until 1989.
The model is completely scratchbuild (plastic, wood, metal, resin, thick paper).
I used the blueprint of the aircraft carrier USS Belleau Wood as a starting point by making specific drawings corresponding to the Dedalo.
With the exception of the double bofors guns (from the arsenal) all the elements are scratched.
Harrier, Sea king are home made too. The model represent the ship at the end of the 80'.
