This 1/350 scale model is by Gulfsteam, it came complete with photo ech and for the time (around 1995) it was a pretty good kit. I purchased the kit when it first came out. As you can see I did not do this ship justice. At the time I did not know much about the history of this class of destroyer, which I believe affect's the modeling quality. You have to here the sounds of the ship cutting through the water, see the officers and sailors on deck, and hear the sounds of battle. Since then though more reading and studying of the class and the USS Ward my interest has started to increase and I am planning something special with this ship.
