Destroyer of the US Navy, class 1,500 tons. Fought during all World War II, mainly in the Pacific, escorting Aircraft Carriers.

The builders were Hernan Castellanos, Fernando Rowan and myself.

• Launched: December 1, 1936 Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp., Quincy, MA
• Commissioned: June 24, 1937
• Decommissioned: April 18, 1946 at Pearl Harbor Navy Yard
• Fate: Sold for Scrapping August 20, 1947
• Displacement: 1,590 tons (2,219 tons full load)
• Length: 340 feet, 10 inches
• Beam: 35' 10"
• Draught: 12' 9"
• Performance: 50,000 shp for 38.5 knots
• Bunkerage: 525 tons
• Range: 6,500 nautical miles at 12 knots
• Guns: four 5 inch; four .5 inch MG
• Torpedoes: sixteen 21 inch
