 The following will be a series of photos of my build of the old  1/700 Skywave/Pitroad Fletcher kit. (The one with two models per box!!!) I can only send attachments up to 2 meg so this will be painfully slow.  

  What can I say about the kit.  Well, it is rather dated but thank GOD for Tom's Model Works.  Their U.S. Destroyer PE fret really saved the day.  (Of course a little scratch building here and there didn't hurt either. I used lots and lots of fine copper sheeting to replace bulkheads and guntubs. Masts are brass rod. Paints used were all Polly Scale, Rigging is super fine Nylon thread and the 5 inchers are hypodermic needles (my favorite technique in 1/700---unless Mr. Nuttall surprises me soon -- lol!  Every major assembly was modified in some way.   Feel free to pick and choose from the best photos to post.  My photography skills still leave a LOT to be desired.  :P
