1/350 USS Chevalier DD451 (Tamiya)
USS Chevalier DD451 as she appeared in October 1942 using the Tamiya 1/350 Fletcher kit along with a variety of extra parts from other kits, left over PE and some scratch building. I modified and enhanced several areas of the kit to more accurately show Chevalier, extra parts from various 1/350 Dragon destroyer kits were extremely helpful. Paints included Floquil Marine Colour Enamels and Testors Model Master sealed with a clear gloss coat of Future followed by a thin black wash and a final flat coat of Krylon Crystal Clear. Rigging is black silk thread.
