DD-537 The Sullivans DD 537

My name is Frank Hutton from San Diego, Ca. and for the last few months I have been building the kit noted above. With the vast help of many fellow model builders I took on the project of building the USS The Sullivans DD 537 as a tribute to the 5 brothers. The ship is about 85 percent completed. These pictures show her just placed into the base. The base consists on Wood, Model Magic Clay, Liquitex and Model Masters Paint for the Sea and of course the Future Floor Wax, that until I applied it over the paint for that glossy look had my doubts. But it really added the final touch. I will send more pics once the rail lines are put on and the communication, and flag lines are put on. The pics show the kits 5" guns but I am going to put on new 5" guns from Steve Brejnak.
