1/96 USS The Sullivans DD-537 (Scale Shipyard)
Rebuilding my Fletcher Destroyer USS The Sullivans DD 537. It is a scale ship yard hull, I know it has been a wile since I have last put on any of my fleet on the board , Well in the last few months I have been busy rebuilding my Sullivan's, I built it the first time in about 2000 or around that time, Through the years it was needing some TLC, So about 5 months ago I Tore it down and started the TLC, I completely strip it down to the bare hull and added all new running gear, A pair of 12 Volt small Pittman motors, 2 channel spectrum radio as well as a new battery set up and props, I also added alot of new detail that I was wanting to do but never got around to it , Also added a complete set of lights for night running, I completely redid the paint work on the hull and the deck, As you will see I did spend a little time on it , NOW she runs as good as she look
NOW how many of you have got down to your pond and fine out you don't have your camera with ya,? Well it happen to me the day I took her down completely rebuilt have everything is place and I did not have my camera with me for I forgot to grab it when I was trying to get down to the pond in a hurry, I just happen to hit it lucky on this day, Another boater that I knew had there's with them, so I ask the other boater if he could take a few pictures for me and They got some nice ones , I was very happy that day with there work, So I did not take all of the pictures , So on the last day I was lucky enough to have the boater down there, Sometimes you do get a break.
