Hi Tim,

  Built these along with their Hamilton and Hamilton FRAM this weekend.
Here's a quick review.

California.
One piece hull and superstructures, resin SPG radars, weapons, and ships
boats. Photo etched SPS radars, boat davits etc.
Another excellent offering from JAG. Flash is thin to transparency on the
smaller cast pieces. Other pieces are cast on a thin wafer. I built this kit
in 2 hours-then painted it. Comprehensive decals for weapons areas and
helicopter deck. Add some photo etched rails if you like and that's it.

Sumner FRAMThe mast seemed to be 1/16" too short and the gun barrels need to
be trimmed thinner to fit in the turrets, and there are no drawings in the
instructions (there is a side profile drawing of the ship on the front of
the instructions)for the mast assembly above the SPS radar platform.-these
are the only two areas that needed any extra attention in this kit. R+Both
an SPS-29/37 and SPS-40 radars are provided-I chose to model the SPS-29/37
for a change. The forward part of the photo etched sprayshields that angles
in to fit under the upper deck needs to be trimmed about 1/32" to fit
properly. Decals for DD-692 through DD-781 are provided.
