1/350 USS Eugene A. Greene DD-711 (Dragon)

This is the 1:350 Dragon kit of the USS Gearing class destroyer which I have numbered for the USS Eugene A. Greene. Greene was a Dauntless pilot from the USS Enterprise who was killed attacking the Japanese task force during the Battle of Midway, and was awarded the Navy Cross.
I used the Gold Metal photoetch set, Polly Scale paints, L'Arsenal crew and floater nets, and invisible thread for the rigging. I made the mast from brass tube and rod, and added plastic pieces cut from the kit mast as well as pieces from the Gold Metal set. My friend and fellow modeler Carl Musselman took the photos.
