1/700 USS Frank E. Evans DD-754 (JAG)

This is the Jag 1/700 scale, Fram II "Allen M. Sumner "class kit, in my opinion one of the best castings I've worked with, Jag has achieved a superb finish.

My build is of the U.S.S. Frank E. Evans in 1966, although at the time of her collision with the Melbourne the ECM structure had been modified. I`ve been tossing up on whether to rig her, but decided not at present.
A great deal of GMM & WEM PE has gone into the kit, including railing, cable reels, fire hoses, anchors & DASH netting. The mast array was completely scratchbuilt except for the GMM radar & anemometers, the 5" gun barrels are 25 gauge hypo needle, extra detailing was also added around the towed sonar equipment.
I had to make the life raft bags from 2 part Tamiya putty, and also made the Desron insignias with an Alps printer, after much experimentation I was able to achieve the reduction needed with negligible loss in resolution, what a challenge.
You may also be able to discern the ship's bell on the upper bridge house, Starboard side. I have omitted the canvas covers on the upper bridge railing because of the complexity of the task, I didn't want to push my luck. As usual with web pictures my camera can never do the kit full justice.
