Subject: Photo gallery Date: Sun, 8 Jun 2003 09:09:56 -0500 From: "John & Sherri" To: Hi, Attached (I hope) are two scans of my model of the USS James C. Owens (DD-776) for the model gallery. The text below cna be edited and included: The hull and main deck are from a 1/350th Tamiya Fletcher. Everything else is scratchbuilt from styrene with the following exceptions. The duel 5"-38's were kitbashed from the kits single 5"-38s. The kit had parts for 10 single mounts. Railings, hatches, doors, ladders, fire hose holders and radars are Gold Medal models PE. The decals are from Gold Medal also. This is the 1st ship model I've built in 25 years or more. References were Summeralls laffey book, NAVSOURCE and the Allen Sumner website.
