1/350 USS Peterson DD-969 (Dragon)

The USS PETERSON IS ONE OF 134 Spruance Class Destroyers that served with the U. S. NAVY during the 1970's and were the first ships to be powered by gas turbine engines.  With the introduction of the more capable and versatile Aegis Cruisers and Arleigh Burke Destroyers, the Navy accelerated the retirement of the class, with the last one, CUSHING, decommissioned in 2005.
