1/700 USS David Ray, DD-971 (Hobby Boss)
This Hobby Boss model kit of Spruance Class DD 971 took quite a bit of cutting and filing to get some parts to fit, and I liked the look of it built full hull rather than waterline. The real ship was sunk as a RIMPAC target in 1988 off Hawaii, a fate that befell more than a few of the decommissioned Spruances.
