1/350 USS Briscoe DD-977 (Dragon)
I've been on the sidelines long enough. I've summoned up the courage
to send in my 1st submission. It is a commission build of a 1/350
Spruance class destroyer, the USS Briscoe (DD-977) for a former crew member.
I used GMM photo etch for the railings and ladders. I went with Veteran
Model's for the ASROC launcher. Hopefully I've done the ship some
justice. The Briscoe lies on the ocean's bottom off the coast of
Cherry Point, NC. Hopefully I will get some feedback reference what
I did well and not so well on this model. We all strive to get better
at building and hopefully one day my submissions will look like some of
the more experienced modelers submissions. Id like to ultimately
send in some of my earlier 1/700 builds as that is the scale I'm most comfortable
working in. Maybe this posting will help me get over the feeling of not
being up to par with some of the spectacular builds I've seen on this site.
