Hallo Timothy.
This is my first attempt to superdetail.
There seems to be almost no limit to get close to the reality, so I
decided to stop, take some pictures and get out for a bike ride.

The model:

DDG-54 Curtis Wilbur from Revell Germany. Scale 1\700. (bargain, 5
Euros).
Fairly accurate, molding and fit just average.
Flagship models and Gold medal models PE.
Many details have been scratchbuilt using several techniques.
