1/240 USS Buckley Class DE (Revell)

U.S. Buckley class destroyer escort (DE) was built during  WWII. 154 vessels of this class were built. Among those, 46 vessels were transfered to Royal Navy under lend-lease agreement. The Royal Navy reclassed them as Captain class Frigates. This class of DE has overall length of 306 feet, a normal displacement of 1,400 ton and full load at 1,720 tons. They are powered by turbo-electric tandem 12,000 H.P. , with a maximum speed of 23.5 knots. This model of mine were built from Revell-Germany kit, kit parts are nice in detail , except the guns that look clunky. For full realistic looking you can add photoetch to this Buckley class model ( Tom’s Modelworkds photoetch), but it’s pity that I do have skill and experience enough to fix photoetch on model , so I assembled it as kit supplied.
