1/350 USS Henry R. Kenyon DE-683 (Trumpeter)
This is the 1/350 Trumpeter kit of the USS England which I built as the USS Henry R. Kenyon. Ensign Kenyon was a pilot of VT-8 at the Battle of Midway and was awarded the Navy Cross, posthumously.
I scribed the hull using a sewing needle in a pin vise. I used L'Arsenal 20mm guns, Gold Metal photo-etch, brass tubing for the mast, invisible thread (painted black) for the rigging and L'Arsenal figures for the crew. I brushed on some chalk for the rust. My friend and fellow modeler, Carl Musselman, took the photos, for me.
