1/400 DKM Z-31 (Heller)
The construction envolved no mayor problems, but as Heller provides only bare structures as you already know, all the rest of details and equipment had to be scratch-built. No photo etched parts of any kind : only plastic surfaces of any kind, yoghourt cups and stretched plastic sprue.
I am modestly satisfied with the Flakvierling AA mounting : It is 4x4 mm. big, and includes a total of 19 pieces.
The radar is another 25 pieces altogether as well.
It was hand painted with a hull red of my own and standard Humbrol enamels, both pure and mixed. All colours were thinned to a 30-40% with Humbrol thinner.
