1/700 HMS Express 1939 (Tamiya)
This model represents HMS Express in 1939 painted in 507A dark grey, she is fitted for minelaying with removable rails for 60 Mk14 contact mines, half of her 4.7 inch main guns and all of her TTs have been landed but the fittings have been retained so that she can revert to a normal destroyer role, the two 27 foot whalers have been moved forward to help her trim but her original boat davits have stayed in place, HMS Express was transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1943 becoming Gatineau and was sold off in 1946.
