1/600 HMS London D16 (Airfix)
This multimedia picture is a representation of HMS London D16, a County class Destroyer, commissioned 4th November 1963 and decommissioned 1981. She is shown sailing past the Statue of Liberty, just because I wanted to paint Her so then had to come up with an interesting Ship to put in the picture. So it was meant to be when HMS London represented the UK at New York in July 1976 for the American Bicentennial Celebrations.
Once painted the picture was meant to hang around on My wall but something came up and I found I got the colour of the Ships deck wrong, it should of been green, C'est La Vie. Since joined Facebook so I can ask questions of former Crew, but a bit late for this picture.
