HMS Fury

1/700 HMS Fury (Tamiya)

This is intended to depict HMS Fury in early 1942 at about the time she was starting to escort the Russian convoys. The WEM etched fret for the E class was used. A platform for the 3” gun which replaced the aft torpedo tubes was scratched as was a replacement bridge platform to accommodate the extensions for the 20mm guns. The aft funnel was shortened and masts replaced with brass rod. The sea was made using Jim Baumann’s technique with the wake and bow wave from Milliput and pennant numbers were home made inkjet decals which didn't quite match the camouflage colour which was the original intention.
