1/700 HMS Kelly (White Ensign Models)
I built this kit several years ago for an IPMS Journal review.
It is the 1/700 WEM HMS Kelly. As you can see, it built up into a
very nice model. A strong point of the kit is the photoetch fret,
which provides many fine details. My example had a badly warped hull,
but it responded well to straightening with hot water.
I shot the pictures on Kodak 400 speed HD film. I used a Canon
AE-1 SLR with magnifying lenses, and shot at 1/4 to 1/2 second exposures
at f16. The film was developed with Kodak Perfect Touch processing
and digitized onto a Kodak Picture CD. The digital files are from
the CD.
