1/350 IJN Akizuki (Blue Water Navy) by Bob LaPudura
The model represents her on her speed trial after completion, but before commissioning. The kit is from Blue Water Navy, and was built pretty much "out of the box", with the only additions of metal tubing for the main guns. The decals are from BWN's IJN sheet. Rigging is 1 and 2 pound monofiliment, and the paint is a mixture of Floquil, Testors and Tamiya colors. For the weathering I used an airbrush and various lighter & darker shades of the base coat, with some dark rust here and there. This was a great kit, and wouldn't hesitate for a second building another one!
